Nature Breath – 5 Days Corinthian Nature (Individual Package)

…Such a small country, so much variety!!! The “nature breath” is a 5 days package that gives you the opportunity to get familiar with the magnificent landscape of the Greek nature. Visit traditional Greek villages; observe unique kind of birds and animals in protected areas “Natura 2000” combined with a journey to the Greek mythology.

Program

1st day : Pick up from the airport. Check in at the hotel.

Loutraki is waiting for you! Have a coffee while watching the sunset, enjoy a walk by the sea till the “waterfalls area” or relax with the view of the city from the mountain Gerania.

2nd day: Pick up from the hotel. Today is the first touch with the Greek nature.

Our trip starts with a visit to Stymphalia Lake, where according to mythology Hercules confronted and slew the Stymphalian birds. Then we visit the environment museum, which shows the interdependence of human kind and Nature and their harmonious coexistence in the Stymphalia basin. You can observe the several species of birds living on the lake and feel the wildlife right next to you! Between of mountains of Zireia and Oligyrtos we continue to valley of Feneos and the lake Doxa. It is a manmade lake surrounded by the mountains Zireia and Helmos on altitude of 880m. Visitors use to call the area “the Alps of Greece”. At the way back we make a stop at the picturesque village of Goura, where you can taste traditional Greek food and buy delicious beans, pasta and sweets.

3rd day: Pick up from the hotel after breakfast. You will have the opportunity to cross the Corinth Canal.

The Corinth Canal (Isthmos) is one of the largest construction projects in the history of Greece. Since ancient times many attempts to unite the two seas- Saronic and Corinthian Gulf- had been made, in order to avoid having ships sail around the Peloponnese. The hopeful plan of many great men eventually became a reality in 1893. The sailing across the canal is a one-of-a-kind experience. In the afternoon you can choose an excursion from our catalogue, hire a car to explore the area or just rest at the beach.

4rd day: Today we hike on the mountain “Gerania”

Mount Geraneia is one of the most outstanding mountain ranges of Peloponesse, gifted with the beautiful lake of Vouliagmeni. From Makriplagi, the highest peak of Geraneia – 1.369m long – the view is absolutely awesome! What’s more, Mount Geraneia is enlisted in Natura 2000, the European Net of regions under protection, thanks to its rich fauna and vegetation. There have been traced and recorded approximately 950 different species of plants (lush vegetation, fir & plane trees, oak and myrtle trees, pine trees) and wild animals (jackals, foxes, cranes, royal eagles, hares ).Spread around the hills, you may find lots of natural springs with crystal water. Choose one of the three routes according to your preferences and skills (green route, yellow route, coastal route: check in the “activities menu”)

5th day:

Enjoy the last moments in Greece, have some pictures, buy gifts for your friends and get prepared for the way back.
